The Kawartha Lakes Parks and Recreation Division is pleased to welcome the return of its recreational photography classes. New this fall, the “Creating Experiences Through Photography” course will teach photographers of all levels the basics of creation; rather than taking an image. Participants will explore various examples, critique their own work, and develop their skills and understanding.
This interactive course will consist of a combination of online and in-person learning. The online sessions will take place on Monday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. from October 3 to October 24. A final in-person session will take place the first weekend of November where participants will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned to real-world scenarios.
This course will be led by Rob Stimpson, an accomplished photographer who has produced international publications, award-winning photography and has a love for the wild. An avid teacher, Rob also teaches photography part-time at Fleming College and writes for northern tourism organizations.
Pre-registration is required for this course, places are limited. Interested participants can find out more and register via the Kawartha Lakes Online Program Registration Website. Please note that participants will need to provide their own camera.
