Apple is hosting a series of free virtual sessions in India as part of its “Today at Apple” initiative. Almost a month after the launch of the Apple Online Store in India, the tech giant will commemorate the occasion by offering free virtual workshops related to photography, music, art and art. other creative fields. The workshops started on October 17 and will run until November 29. Today, at Apple, was launched as a retail-focused initiative in 2017, but this is the first time it has been extended to India.
While under ordinary circumstances, consumers visit Apple retail stores for Today at Apple sessions, this year workshops are being held online around the world, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Starting in 2017, Today at Apple is running hands-on sessions with experts on the basics, how to learn, and pro-level programs on topics ranging from art, coding, design, music, photography, etc. Workshops in India will begin with sessions from local photographers and renowned musicians, with advice on skills and techniques from Apple Creatives.
Photography workshops for the coming weeks include sessions with Siddhartha Joshi, Avani Rai, Anurag Banerjee, Prathna Singh and Hashmi Badani. Music sessions so far include a beginner’s course at Garage Band. The full program is available here. Musical skills sessions will also include sessions from Lisa Mishra, DIVINE, Aditi Ramesh, Raja Kumari and Prateek Kuhad soon.
The first session of the Today at Apple series in India is Photo Lab: Faces and Places with Mumbai-based photographer Siddhartha Joshi on October 22. He will present portrait projects he has made across India and give professional photography advice.

To join a Webex session, you need a mobile / laptop / tablet / computer, as well as a stable internet connection and the free Cisco Webex Meetings app. If you’re under 18, your parent or guardian can enroll for you, according to Apple. As a reminder, Apple Store was launched in India at the end of September, and the company itself announced its intention to bring Today at Apple to India.
